DID YOU EVER SEE A WOMAN ON THE STREETS AND SAY TO YOURSELF " OH MY GOD SHE SHOULD NOT BE WEARING THAT OUTFIT" ITS PRETTY MUCH A GIVEN THAT YOU DID..AND YOU ALSO SAY TO YOURSELF " KILL ME IF I EVER GET LIKE THAT " LOL !!! WELL NOW HERES THE QUESTION FASHIONISTA'S.. SHOULD YOU DRESS YOUR AGE ? I DO NOT THINK ITS FAIR TO SAY THAT WOMAN OF A CERTAIN AGE SHOULD NOT DRESS TRENDY..THATS NOT FAIR..HOWEVER, I DO THINK YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT YOUR BODY CAN HANDLE AND WHAT IT CANNOT..THERE ARE PLENTY OF STORES OUT THERE THAT CARRY TRENDY OUTFITS FOR EVERYONE, NO MATTER WHAT AGE YOU ARE...BUT LETS BE HONEST FOR A MINUTE..A 40 YEAR OLD REALLY NEEDS TO BE CAREFUL TRYING TO WEAR SOMEHTHING A 20 YEAR WOULD WEAR..NOW I AM NOT SAYING SHE SHOULD NOT TRY..BUT I THINK YOU NEED TO CLASS IT UP A BIT..AND THE SAME GOES FOR A 16 YEAR OLD TRYING TO DRESS OLDER..SOMETIMES IT JUST DOES NOT WORK..WE SEE PICTURES ALL THE TIME OF WOMAN WHO ARE OLDER AND THEY LOOK FABULOUS..WHY IS THAT...BECAUSE THEY HAVE GOT CLASS..BIG DIFFERENCE...SO MY ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION IS NO !!! JUST BECAUSE YOUR A CERTAIN AGE DOES NOT BEEN YOU SHOULD PACK IT UP...BUT YOU NEED TO PUT MORE THOUGHT INTO THE OUTFIT..SO MY FASHIONISTA'S WHAT DO YOU THINK ???

Michele I love it! Wow a girl I work with we were at lunch just saying some woman do not have mirrors at home they can't or a good friend to say you really just shouldn't be wearing that! I love this what a great idea. I see you are making your own totes too cool I need to see them!

I completely agree with you. I think you should always be able to dress trendy no matter what your age is. AND...no matter what your age is you should always have class!
ReplyDeleteI have seen younger ladies at church and/or other places that I just can't believe what they are wearing. I just want to put my hand over my husband's eyes! ;-)

Great observation... I totally agree that women need to dress appropriately for their age, but also for their body type, I think. If you are size 14, forget that mini. Maxi or roomy pants should be your best friends.

ReplyDeleteThe beauty of fashion is that you can express yourself and develop your own individual style, you really don't have to follow the rules.
As long as you wear it with class and confidence. :)
But if you're not putting much thought into your outfit, then it's not style. That's the difference between dressing for style and dressing just to have clothing on.
(a good honest friend always helps too, she can tell ya when your looking a mess)
