Fashionista and Polka Dots!!!

Good morning petites..I apologize for no post yesterday..I am right in the middle of quite a few things..I will explain later..Anyway..onto the Polka Dot craze...I was recently doing a little light reading in Glamour magazine..when I came across this spread of polka dots being hot this season...I thought it was so cute..It reminded me of when I was a little girl and used to go to the boardwalk..There is something very warm and fuzzy about this trend..Sort of a reminscence of days gone..It definately has a spring/summer feel to it..Dont you think?..I want to just go out and get cotton candy..and walk along a seashore..lol..The fashion gods also expressed interest in sorbet colors and gingham..again brought me right back to the past..its amazing to me how soemthing like a fabric style can do this...anyway..I dont know for sure if I will venture into this trend..but then again one never knows..If I like it enough I might just give a try...

FASHIONISTA SAYS HAPPY FABULOUS FRIDAY

Good morning petites..hope everyone is happy on this Fab Friday..I know I am...Today I have picked out the most wonderful ensemble huh..this is what I call wishful thinking...I can not wait for the summer..I found this little number at Old Navy..They have great stuff there..I love the fact that you can shop there and get everything you need for an entire outfit...Its great in a pinch..And there prices are very decent...So I hope you get inspired by this get up..and get happy..because summer is coming..Whoa..I just look at this outfit and I think..sand..sun..the smell of coconut and I am instantly transformed...would help to wish for a nice drink with it...lol..Enjoy your weekend petites...See ya on Monday...xoxo

TALK SHOP THURSDAY

OK...today i would like to start something new its called Talk Shop Thursday...It doesnt really have anything to do with shopping..( I know boo hoo)..anyway..its when I discuss being a fashionista with other Fashionista's..and then I post about it...cool right..Dont worry it will be fun..I think its interesting to see how we all deal with being fashionista and living life...( hopefully happy)..

Ok so today I am going to talk about Erin..she is my best friend...and another fashionista..when we were in school Erin came up with the 7 day rule..What is this? Well it goes something like this...you can not wear the same outfit for at least 7 days..Funny right..but a classic rule that still is followed today...Of course now most of can go at least a month without repeating an outfit..lol...Its funny the things we worry about..anyway..Erin came up with idea way back..I am so not going to indulge on how many years ago...but I will say it was a long time ago..lol..and that is where the fashionista in us was born...I personally remember asking my mom for 7 pairs of shorts..etc..And I remember my mom saying..why in the world do you need that many shorts..and then I would tell her the 7 day rule..I think she thought I was out of my mind..especially since I was not paying for my clothes at this point..But she gave in to this request..and truth be told today my mom must have 30 pairs of everything..seriously...so it was a fab idea...What do you think?..

FASHIONISTA AND RETAIL THERAPY

Good morning petites..its Wednesday...the middle of the week...the weekend is almost here right?..Big topic today..Retail Therapy!!!...Every fashionista can relate to this right?..My question is this..Does it really work?...I would have to say yes...When your blue and down and out..whats the first thing to perk you up?..Thinking about buying something new to add to your fab wardrobe!!!...yeah baby..Just yesterday..I was sitting her at my desk feeling like I had no energy..my brain was mush and I thought to myself what would make me happy..Without even a second with that thought..out popped my answer..Shopping!!...amazing how the brain of a fashionista works..just the thought of going out shopping...made be glee with joy...I guess it works..I know some would beg to differ about this notion..and I respect that..but for me its happiness...

I recently came across a book ( I do read alot)...it was called Life Lessons While Shopping..by Amanda Ford..It was the funniest book..and very true...one of things in the book that I liked was she has a self diagnosis page with regards to when you need retail therapy and when its time to see a real doctor..very funny...The book was very light hearted and fun to read..Check it out petites..

Anyway, in ending this..I would just like to say this...happiness counts in life big time..so if you do need a little happiness..by all means indulge in your pleasure..and like I always say..If im happy..everyones happy...Ta Ta for now my petites

THE FASHIONISTA'S ATTITUDE

DID YOU EVER MEET SOMEONE AND THEY ARE SO MEAN..LIKE STUCK UP...TO THE POINT THAT THERE OBNOXIOUS? THEY MAKE FUN OF ANYBODY AND EVERYTHING THAT DOES NOT MEET THEIR STANDARDS..IN THEIR MINDS THEY ARE THE END ALL..WELL TO ME THAT IS NOT A TRUE FASHIONISTA...THEY ARE JUST MEAN WOMAN IN DESIGNER CLOTHES..I ONCE KNEW OF A GIRL LIKE THIS..SHE WAS SO MEAN TO EVERYONE..SHE ACTED AS IF EVERYONE WAS BENEATH HER..SHE DROVE AROUND IN A FANCY SUV AND WORE ONLY CLOTHES FROM EXCLUSIVE HIGH END STORES..SHE WAS MEAN TO HER FRIENDS AND SHE TREATED HER PARENTS LIKE SLAVES..ANYWAY THIS GIRL LIVED IN A FANTASY WORLD SO TO SPEAK..THE TRUTH TO THIS GIRL WAS SHE COULD NOT AFFORD ANY OF THESE THINGS...HER CREDIT CARDS WERE MAXED AND SHE COULD NOT EVEN AFFORD TO PUT GAS IN HER CAR..HOW ABOUT THAT...CRAZY HUH..BUT VERY FUNNY..I THINK..MY POINT BEING THIS..JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE LOOKS A CERTAIN WAY..DOES NOT MEAN IT IS THAT WAY...SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NICER TO PEOPLE...SHE WOULD HAVE REALIZED THAT MATERIAL THINGS IS NOT ALL THAT LIFE IS ABOUT..

AS FASHIONISTA'S OF THE WORLD..WE MUST REALIZE THAT SHOPPING AND NICE THINGS ARE ON OUR TOP 10 LIST...BUT IT IS NOT EVERYTHING EITHER...LIKE I SAID IN YESTERDAYS POST..YOU SHOULD BE NICE TO PEOPLE..THERE IS NO REASON NOT TO..I PERSONAL HAVE FRIENDS WITH ALL DIFFERENT TYPES OF TASTES AND I LOVE THEM DEARLY FOR WHO THEY ARE NOT FOR WHAT THEY OWN..

AS FOR THE ABOVE MENTIONED GIRL..SHE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO COME BACK DOWN TO THE REAL WORLD...AND SHE HAS NO FRIENDS AND SHE IS MISERABLE...KARMA BABY..IT WILL GET YOU EVERY TIME...

THIS IS A VERY UGLY TOPIC..BUT ONE THAT SHOULD BE DISCUSSED..SO HERE WE GO..A LITTLE MONDAY MISHISM FOR YOU PETITES OUT THERE..
WE AS FASHIONISTA'S ARE VERY AWARE OF WHATS HOT AND TRENDY OF THE MOMENT RIGHT..WE AIM TO BE THAT HOT AND TRENDY ALL THE TIME..ARE GOAL IS TO STAY ON TOP OF OUR GAME RIGHT?..SO WHEN WE ARE OUT AND ABOUT AND SEE SOMEONE WITH FAB SHOES OR A BAG..SOMETIMES YOU FEEL THAT GREEN EYED MONSTER REVEAL HER SELF..WHY IS THIS..IS IT BECAUSE YOU WANT THOSE THINGS? OR SOMETHING ELSE?...I THINK ITS A LITTLE OF BOTH..THIS SITUATION REMINDS US OF THE THINGS WE DONT HAVE..WHICH LETS JUST ADMIT IS A DOWNER FOR US..RIGHT...BUT THE TIME HAS COME TO STOP BEING JEALOUS..YOU WILL SPEND YOUR WHOLE LIFE THIS WAY IF YOU DONT STOP NOW..THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SOMEONE WHO HAS SOMETHING THAT YOU DONT..SO LET IT GO..OKAY..AND IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL ANY BETTER THERE IS PROBABLY SOMEONE LOOKING AT YOU AND DOING THE SAME THING..CRAZY RIGHT...ITS A SHAME TO SAY THIS BUT IN THE WORLD OF FASHION AND IN THE LIVES OF FASHIONISTA'S IT A CONSTANT COMPETION..WOMAN ARE ALWAYS TRYING TO OUT DO EACH OTHER..AND THATS SAD..BUT IT IS THE REALITY OF THE LIFE WE LEAD..SO HERES MY WISE WORDS OF THE DAY..THE NEXT TIME YOU SEE SOMEONE WHO IS WEARING SOMETHING YOU JUST ADORE..TELL HER..MAKE HER DAY..AND THE COMPLIMENT WILL COME BACK TO YOU..AND WITH THIS..YOU WILL GET A SMILE ON YOUR FACE SO BIG AND FABULOUS THAT NO MONEY COULD BUY...
