Dear My petites..

I am sorry to say that I will be leaving this blogging platform. I have for sometime now been writing another blog on Onsugar. After much thinking I have decided to let this blog and concentrate on my other blog. I hope all my blogger friends out there will come and check me out. I will still be doing the same thing on my other blog, however I will be adding a little more..

I have decided to go yet another route. I love fashion. It is my passion. However, I am also a mom to three boys and I feel I need to be true to myself and others. I need to incorporate this into my writing. I was sparked by an interesting piece I read on Glamour.com with regards to Moms and Fashion. As you all know I take alot of slack from time to time from other mothers as to my fashion. Sometimes they make me feel like I am selfish because I take the time to look good. But I will not make excuses for my actions. And after reading this blog piece and seing all the comments with regards to this, it prompted me to start a blog with this in mind. There are lot of us out there. Posh Moms is what Ilike to call us !!!. So anyway, thats what I will be doing. Of course I will never stop following trends and writing about them, so even if your not a mom my blog will make sense to you...so please check me out....thanks loves..xoxo

MY FABULOUS FAVORITES OF THE WEEK

1. My little cupcake, CoCo ...I simply adore her....

2. OPI nail polish..I've Read the Script..this polish is the best..and the color is fab ...

3.Emily Pucci dress..Can anyone say Love, Love, Love it......

4. Avon's Beyond Plumping lipcolor in Sugarcane...this is one of my favorite colors of all times...it goes with just about everything...and it really does plump your lips...

5. Pearls....I seriously wish I could wear pearls with anything, everyday..I love them...

6. Black Leggings...my obsession of the moment..I can not stop writing about them let alone stop wearing them....

7. I think this padlock watch charm is just es quite...Its from Tiffany's of course...

8. Victoria Secret's Pink shower gel....its smells so good, you want to eat it and then wear something pink.....

9. Juicy Couture perfume...ahh I love it..a simply splurge but definitely worth it....

10. And last but certainly not least, Michael Kors new Hamilton Tote..I love it so much I wrote about it all week.....

IT'S OH SO COCO

As everyone should know by now, I have an obsession with Coco Chanel.. She is my idol...anyway with the new movie, I was happy to see that Coco's style is still in today...At the time Coco was making a start, her fashion style was a little to risque for most woman of the 1930's, but Coco was a fashion genius way ahead of her time...

As you can see in this picture her tweed jacket and skirt has taken its place in the fashion world......

This is the more modern take of Coco's famous look..I love it.. Very tre chic...

I especially love the fact that Coco adored hats...She was hardly with out one!!!

She had a very tomboy look to her but yet so polished !!!!

Coco's signature fashion staple...Her pearls.....She was always dressed so classy...

As I said before and will probably say again..Coco Chanel was an icon..She defined class...She made a statement..She was a woman before her time....and she was and will forever be a fashion icon.... and my favorite...xoxo

Most of her staple outfits and accesories are still very popular today...And her Little Black dress will never go out....

hello my fashionista's!!! hope everyone is well...now that summer has ended its time to get back into the fashion business of writing about it...yeah!!!!...well here's a question for my petites out there....ready...Do you loves remember paper dolls when your were little petites?...OMG they were the best..I remember playing for hours with my paper dolls...Wow its funny to think I have been like this since I was little!!! So do you remember?

Well....if you do remember and you loved it like I did your in luck...there is a website that I discovered called Looklet.com that is a grown-up version of paper dolls...Fabulous right!!!..I decided to give it a try and signed up...It is so much fun....There is literally thousands of different clothes and all kinds of stuff to put together an outfit...You pick out a model and voila you start dressing her...just like when you were little..and the best part is you get to save the look and share it with everyone else that is on Looklet...

ARE YOU A MATCHY GIRL?

Are you a matchy kind of girl? Does your bras and undies have to match? I have to admit I am...When I buy a bra...I must have matching knickers..Why? I don't know...Maybe its my need to be put together...or maybe I am just a little crazy..

Now I am not a lingerie type of girl...honest..its not one of my obsessions...but I do own a plethora of bras...in all different colors..and of course a slew of matching knickers....I cant help it...now that I got a little personal with you..you might as well know this....

I match my undergarments to my outfit..for instance....if I am wearing a pink top...there is a pink bra under it...lol...ya understand?

So do ya think I am crazy or what...Do I suffer from some strange fashion desease?...lol...In my defense all I can say is I like to match...So I guess I am a matchy girl...it could be worse...xoxomish

Tomorrow would have been CoCo Chanel's birthday...so this post is dedicated to her...

Coco was born in 1883 in the South of France, with the name Gabrielle Boheur Chanel..Her mother died when she was little...but before her mother died she taught Coco how to sew...When Coco was just a little girl her father brought her to an orphange and just abanded her...and this is where she grew up and learned to sew even better...

As you can see Coco started with humble beginnings...She began designing hats and designed some of the most beautiful hats France had ever seen....She became famous for her hats which she sold out of a little boutique on 21 rue Cambon in France...

It wasnt until years later that Coco would design her famous bags and perfume...Most people when mentioning the name Coco Chanel always think of perfume..however Coco was directly responsible for the creation of the Little Black Dress..It was Coco who put this in the fashion pages forever....

Her perfume is one of the highest sold perfumes in the world and is still going strong...

Sadly her personal life never thrived..She never married nor had any children..I guess you could say she was married to her craft...She changed fashion in a way that her style still remains today...She is style...She is class...She is a role model for all of us..She was born with nothing and created an Empire...if that it not something then I do not know what its....

On that note...I would just like to say ...HAPPY BIRTHDAY COCO....you are an inspiration to me and to all the other Fashionista's out there....xoxomish

Good morning petites..how is everyone today? Hope everyone had a nice and fabulous weekend!!! Well to sum up my last post I just want everyone to know that I did find a pair of jeans..and they fit FABUOUS!!!..They are Vera Wang..and they fit so good that I think I may have to buy several pairs in various colors and styles...lol...Dont ya love it when that happens...I certainly do!!!...With summer almost gone..I am concentating on Fall styles..I love this time of year when you are ending one style season and anticipating the next...I start buying clothes now for the fall and I put it in my closet...and then when I go to look for something to wear in a month or two I am soo pleased with myself...lol..sound familar?....I also love looking thru magazines now too...They are filled with fall inspired items..Thats so much fun...After months of summer clothes its like a breath of fresh air..Fall is my favorite season...I love all the dark colors and sweaters...and school is back in session...With my children home for summer break it has been very hard for me to post like I wanted to...I have been busy spending time with them...So when they are back in school again I will have more time to dedicate myself....until the next time....xoxomish

good morning petites..how is everyone today?....well I am just fabulous..I hope everyone is enjoying the dog days of summer..lol..which brings me to my topic today..I am always shopping one season head and I can not tell you enough how hard it is to find jeans..Jeans to me are like the hardest thing to buy...lol..And whats even more hard to understand is that jeans are like the most popular thing to buy..why is this? Are you relating to this problem? Since I can remember I have always had a very difficult time finding that perfect pair of jeans...Its been such an issue for me that I actually have to psyche myself up for jean shopping...crazy right?...With all the jean company's out there in shop world..you'd think this would be the least of my worries...But its a major problem..Their either too long..too tight...too loose...nothing is ever perfect...hate it..when will this madness end..I wish I could find the perfect pair of jeans...A friend of mine told me recently of the Lucky jeans..She swears by them..She says they are the best jeans ever...so should I give it a whirl...otherwise I might be wearing cargo pants for the rest of my life..lol..xoxomish

hello petites..hope everyone had a nice weekend...and of course it went to fast as usually...so while on my weekend hiatus, I discovered a fabulous new way to have your nails done...With the pink and white nails becoming a little boring these days...one must look for something a little bit more colorful...well you can not get any colorful than this...But my petites this is not hand painted..this is a an adhesive film...Believe it petites...and it gets better...you can have your nails done and walk out of the salon with no smudges and this fabulous invention does not chip!!!..Apparently the nail pro presses the film on the nail and then your nails go under a heat lamp and they set..Voila

This new state of the art nail art is called Minxnails. Beyonce is a hugh fan. She is a regular customer of Minx. There are all kinds of different designs and solid colors to chose from. But before you run right out to your manicurists, keep in mind this much..they are very costly and your nail tech must be trained first, before they can even advertise this service....There is one salon who does this sort of service..Lulu's by Travis Parker..located in San Diego, California...so for all you Fashionista's who live in the San Diego area..check it out...its sounds fabulous and even better it looks fabulous...xoxomish

Good Morning Petites...hope everyone is doing well..and of course FABULOUS...today I would like to give another history lesson to all my loves..Its a great one too..very inspiring to say the least...as we all know Juicy Couture has taken the fashion world by storm..every where you go you see juicy written across the items of clothing..I have to admit I think its adorable..very youthful and cute.!!!!...and Very Girly...which I love...but it did not start out that way....

In 1994, Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy started a fashion label called Travis Jeans..which were maternity pants...In 1996 they changed the name to

Juicy Couture and revised there label to make sexy girl apparel..They started out

with velour tracksuits and casual wear..

There line took off when they sent Madonna a velour tracksuit..and of course that's all it took..Madonna was seen wearing this tracksuit and the trend began....Since then there label has been a hit...

In 2006..they launched a new line called..Couture Couture...which is a reflection of the lifestyles of both designers and is only sold at high end stores...

Today Juicy has expanded its line to include cosmetics, jewelry, handbags and even dog apparel!!!!....

What makes Juicy Couture stand out from the rest is there slogans...

just to name a few......VIVA LA JUICY.....BE JUICY...and my favorite..HER ROYAL JUICYNESS....

HAVING A PURPLE MOMENT

Good Morning petites...I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend...I did...As you can see my favorite color right now is purple...I can not get enough of it..!!!...My history with the color purple is not a long one..For a long time I stayed away from purple..thought it was not a nice color..but this season something came over me and I love it now..There are so many shades of purple to chose from so there are many options...Did you know that rich violet is the color of royalty?? Nice!!!

I have been burning lavender and lilac candles in my house all season..what a relaxing smell!!!

The sweater and jeans are from Victoria Secret So if you do not have a store near you..check out their website..Besides being famous for the lingerie..they have some fabulous outfits too..So check it out..I know this outfit is for the fall..but as any good Fashionista knows we always shop one season ahead..lol..its a very trendy look with a little bit of sexy in it..and I would definitely need a big slouchy bag to go with it.. hello petites..hope everyone is fine and fabulous today..ok I need to get a response from all my dear fashionista's about a issue I may or may not have..lol..among other things..ok..here I go...when I see something that catches my eye ( it usually involves clothes) I must have it..I mean I get crazy until its in my possession..is that weird..do any of you do that?..for an example...a few months ago I was watching old episodes of The Hills and LC had these fabulous glasses on and I went crazy for them...For like a week I scoured every website and store I could find till I found them...then I bought them..and my life felt complete until the next time...Don't get me wrong I love all my purchases...that feeling does not go away..but there is always something else I am on a hunt for..Am I crazy? As I am writing this post I am almost feeling like an addict..like the girl from confessions of a Shopaholic..however I am not in debt..so does that make it better? I love to shop..that is definitely my hobby and I will not make any excuses for that..I have been like this all my life..and I do not think I will ever change...But have I crossed the line with this...or is it perfectly normal?...Isnt it really that bad to want something real bad all the time?...xoxomish

GETTING ALL TIED UP

Ok petites its not what you think..this is about scarves..lol..sorry to disappoint you..So anyway I love this look..You would think that scarves would be just for the winter months..but not anymore...there being worn all year round..and I might add that they are a fabulous item to add just the right touch to an outfit..and lately their popping up everywhere..Of course no one can replace the irreplaceable Hermes scarf or the popular Chanel silk scarf..they have and will withstand the fashion game..but there are some really fabulous scarves out there that come in an array of colors, fabrics and styles..and that are affordable enough to buy a few..like I stated before scarves can instantly transform a simple outfit into tre chic..I personally love the look..It screams put together but in a very trendy kind of way..so give it a whirl...

I am soo sorry for not being around the past month..I have been very busy with quite a few things...my boys are out of school for the summer and as you can imagine they have been keeping me very busy..I have also been working on some projects that I have neglected long enough..and last but certainly not least...my husband bought me my puppy I have been bugging him about for the last year..her name is CoCo and she is a doll face..I love her...but its a lot of work...but worth it...so anyway..Im back and recharged and ready to talk shop with my fellow fashionista's...I have thought of some great topics and I cant wait to share them with you gals...I have included a pic of CoCo for all to see..she is quite the fashionista herself..mishxoxo

Good Morning Petites..how is everyone today?...I hope your feeling fabulous...Today Fashionista's I would like to hold a little history lesson...A lesson only us Fashionista's will like and understand...And also honor a woman who built an empire out of nothing..CoCo Chanel is one of the most named names when it comes to Fashion..when one thinks of Coco Chanel they think style and class..She is known world wide for her signature handbags..her LBD...and her perfume...

So here is our lesson for today..Did you know that CHANEL NO. 5 is the top selling perfume of all time??...yes it is..a bottle is sold every 30 seconds...Can you believe that?...CoCo Chanel created this little bottle of magic in 1921...when designing the actually smell she wanted something artificial...like a dress...something that had been made...Wow...How fab is that?...I would have to say she was a genius...

I know in my time..I have seen perfume come and go...but CHANEL NO. 5 has withstood the hands of time..One of my favorite all time pictures is Marilyn Monroe with her bottle of CHANEL NO. 5...(which I have included)..MS. Monroe was once asked " What do you wear to bed?" and her response was " Why Chanel No. 5 of course" I love that..

So in ending this little history lesson..if you have never had a whiff of CHANEL NO. 5 give it a try..Its intoxicating..xoxoMish

Good Morning Petites..hope everyone had a good weekend..So today I would like to show you my favorite outfit of the week..Don't laugh..I am definitely going thru a phase..I can not buy enough vintage T-shirts..I don't know whats with me..I just love them..and the boyfriend jeans...OMG..there fabulous and soo very comfortable...Its kinda of a dress down look but super stylish if worn the right way..And it seems like every store I go in there are vintage tee's.there is every color and they have cool sayings and even 80's Rock bands..very cool...xoxomish

Good Morning Petites..hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!!!!Today I would like to discuss GUILT....Has anyone ever had guilt after you bought something or ate something??..I am sure everybody has at one point or another..The word alone is so very ugly and I read somewhere that it is a useless emotion..So what do you think? I think there is a big difference between feeling guilty about something and over indulging yourself..Huge difference..I don't think you should ever feel guilty about treating yourself to something nice..Don't you think your worth it...Too many woman out there have this mentality that that they don't need it..its not necessary..etc..But its really not about that..Its about the small things in life that make us smile...Most of these woman that think like this are miserable..they are always unhappy about this that or the other..They need to see the big picture here..Now on the other hand you have the woman that overindulge in different things and somewhere along they lose the meaning of a treat...So you see that's the difference..I have always been a firm believer in treating yourself good..And I stand by my word..Don't feel guilty about buying that new perfume..you have been eyeing up for months or those shoes that your foaming at the mouth for..why would you feel guilty...you deserve it...You work hard everyday in what ever you do...Treat yourself..Guilt is not a word I would like in my dictionary....its a stupid word..and a word all of us should just forget..lol...until the next time...xoxomish

FAKES vs. THE REAL DEAL

Hello my petites...hope everyone is well today...its almost the weekend...yeah!!!..Well today's topic is somewhat of a huge debate...and its causing much controversy in the world of Fashion..so I would like to discuss it..so shall we..I am sure all us Fashionista's me included have gone to handbag parties and bought fake bags..guilty as charged...And I can say honestly that I would be soo happy to have my new fake designer bag just like everyone else..well I never gave it much though until recently...For Two Reasons...

The first reason is this...HarpersBazaar recently started a campaign called Fake is never in Fashion...and wrote this article that blew my mind..They stated that these fake bags are supporting terrorism...child slavery and taken jobs away from millions of people..I could not believe it...I never thought that something so insignificant to most could be so dangerous...Pretty bad huh..To read the whole article I will post a link at the bottom of this post...

The second reason is this and your gonna either laugh or think I am the biggest snob ever..( really im not)..I take a lot of pride in my outfits..I do go to great detail to make sure everything is just so..so imagine my surprise when
I see someone who is looking less the fashionable with the same bag as me!!..I hate it..Most of these people do not understand the meaning of these bags..They scream fashion..chic...and most importantly STYLE...So now when you have these less than Fashionista's walking around with designer bags..that look like they just rolled out of bed..you basically want to scream..I have friends who can afford to go out and buy real..yes real designer bags..and imagine their surprise when they see someone who paid $30.00 for a $300.00 bag..I dont know..its weird..right..I knew this sounds very snobbish but its really how I feel..I buy items because I like them..and not for anything else...so please forgive me for sounding this way..I just take my clothes and outfits very serious..Let me know how you all feel..I would really like to know if I'm not the only one who feels this way..

So basically at the end it does come down to a moral thing and for some it wont bother them and for some maybe you will think twice..And I not gonna say a word either way..but this..these bags are meant to mean something..The designer's who created them were screaming Style...so please wear something decent with them..Coco Chanel is probably rolling over in her grave right now...until the next time...mishxoxo

Good morning Fashionista's..hope everyone is having a fabulous day...Did you ever smell the smell in a hair salon?..Its definitely a smell you remember right?..good or bad...Anyway..you know how smell is used to put you in certain moods?..well last week I was at my hair salon and I was just sitting there under the dryer waiting for my hair to be done...and I got real with my surroundings..did that ever happen to you?..well its does to me when I let it happen..so anyway..I started looking around and watching everybody..and I thought to myself this is a really cool place..Its where woman come to get pretty..Cool..everyone is usually happy and theres really hip music playing..I think I like it...And there is style and fashion all around you.. I think I love it...And as I look around I see woman doing hair and nails..I think to myself these woman are like drs. in the fashion world..they fix people and make them feel better...Do you agree?..There is nothing better then a good haircut..the way they blow your hair out and you feel just fabulous...Of course there is those tragic moments when you get a god awful haircut and you want to kill someone..lol...but how much does that happen...and if you say all the time..then you definitely need a new stylist..I love to get my hair done..its like the best..hell I like being pampered period..its true bliss..So now when I walk into my hair salon and smell that smell I will be instantly transformed to a positive being...and I also came to this conclusion that day..in my next life I want to be a stylist!!!lol...see ya Thursday...mishxoxo

Good morning petites..hope everyone is well..I am so sorry that I have been neglecting my Fashionista's lately..please forgive me..I have been a little crazy lately..But I am back and ready to go...So here goes..A couple of weeks ago I was driving my kids to school and my youngest son asked me if I had done something for him and honestly I forgot..Well did he ream me out..anyway I calmly said to him..I am no longer a superhero..Conversion done...but is it?..A couple of days later I find myself thinking about the same conversation...I started to recall the moms of the 1950's ( think Donna Reed and Mrs. Cunningham) These woman were the CEO's of their family..They did it all..Took care of the house, the kids and their husbands and looked fabulous doing it..And they were always happy and never stressed..Weird huh...they were superheros in my mind..lol..So the questions is do I want to be like this..I don't know..I definitely like the part of looking fabulous..lol...but were they the true stepford wives...or the the modern day superhero fashionista moms..I would like to think of myself as a Fashionista mom..but believe me..you will not catch me vacuuming with heels on or saying "Yes Dear..how was your day dear". I think thats a little crazy...but I do like idea of taking care of my house and my kids and dressing fabulous..thats sounds great..The woman of the past seemed to have paved the way for us today...They have made it possible and certainly acceptable to be just this..A Fashionista Mom...So the next time your stressed or god forbid forgot to do something..just put on your Superhero outfit and transform yourself...mishxoxo

Hello petites..Is this the funniest word ever..SPANX..I think it is..however it is probable one of the best inventions ever for woman..I must say the woman who invented these babies is a genius..wonder if she had a muse..Anyway..her name is Sara Blakely and she is fabulous..She is a real inspiration to all of us..

First let me tell you a little about Spanx..it is a wonderful garment(another funny word)that you wear under your clothes and it basically sucks you in in all the right places...can anyone say love it..Spanx comes is all shapes and colors..you really should check it out..I bet you will be interested and it is well worth the money..I tried them and honestly they worked like a charm..Skinnny Minny..lol..

As for the inventor of Spanx..Sara Blakely..she is like I said a genius..she came up with this concept when she wanted to wear a pair of white pants..Yes that's right..she did not want all that junk in her trunk..so she took regular pantyhose and cut them to make an under garment(that word again) and Voila smoothness all over..Then she took the idea and ran with it..now it went bigtime..My hat is off to you Girl.. here is the website..check it out dollfaces...ta ta for now..mishxoxo

Happy Monday my petites..hope everyone had a wonderful weekend..Ready for a little Monday Mishism?...Ya know how they say artists and even fashion designers have muses that inspire them..(for all who don't know what a muse is its usually a woman who has some special quality that people admire and then usually inspire this same person to create something).. ok..so just think admire and inspire..two key words..Now getting back to us..is there someone who we admire and they inspire us to create..I would have to yes..we all should..It can be anyone who makes you want to be a better something...It can be a movie star, fashion icon, even your best friend..I would have to say honestly..I look to the woman I see on TV..to inspire me..I have a few favorites that inspire me in a fashion kind of way..I look to them to see whats appropriate and whats not..Some may say that's silly..but I would have to say not really..there are people out there that set the standard for us to follow and if you like it enough you will follow it...who knows you may be a muse to someone..wouldn't that be nice..Some of the greatest artist of our time had muses so it can't be that bad..So my petites..just reminder ADMIRE AND INSPIRE...CREATE...love mishxoxo

Ok I am in love..the above picture is a brand new tote from Chanel..It looks like a shopping tote but it is a handbag..I love it...House of Chanel has done it once again..This leather tote is the brain child of Karl Lagerfeld..I love the little shopping bags you get at certain stores..I found myself using them to carry lunch..etc. in them..But after a while they can get worn and you have to throw them away..But not this fabulous tote..It will last and last and last..yeah..It comes in black and white..and also has a whopping price tag of..are ya ready..$2,625.00..So my fashionista's this is when that Cost Per Wear comes into play..until next time my petites..have a great day and I'll be back on Thursday!!....xoxomish

Hello my petites and Good morning..hope everyone is well and Fabulous..Todays Mishism is something I have been living by for years..And its funny because about a month ago I read a whole article on it in Harpers Bazzaar..Anyway..its called Cost Per Wear..What this is to anyone who may not know is this..You find a item of clothing..lets just say a shirt...this shirt costs $50.00..ya following..good..now you say to yourself how many times will I wear this shirt?...then divide the amount of times you will wear the shirt with the price of it and voila..thats how much the item really costs..Nice huh..So if I plan to wear this particular shirt at least ten times I have paid $5.00 for the shirt..And this my fashionista's is my logical thinking..lol..I use this method of shopping quite often..Its also really a good way to think when your purchasing a very expensive article of clothing..like a really fabulous handbag...Try it..I can almost guarantee you will like this method..

Good morning petites..hope everyone is well today..just a little note..I will no longer be writing on Wednesday..due to the fact that I will be working all day out of my home...hope thats ok..Anyway..today I would like to name a trend that I am addicted to.. THE HILLS..starring none other than Fabulous Fashionista..Lauren Conrad...I dont know if anybody has seen this show..but its fantastic..I love it..You can catch it on MTV, Monday @ 10pm..Its a real life drama set in the hills of California..Lauren Conrad is such a fresh face in todays fashion industry..She is already a style icon..And she now has her own clothing line..Bravo to her..I think she is a positive role for all fashionista because she is always in classy mode..She is also someone are young fashionista can look up too..So if you get a chance check it out....She is definitely up and coming !!!!

Good morning my petites..hope everyone is feeling fab today...Todays talk shop is about Targets..some pronounce it with a french flair via Oprah..but to me its TARGET..like bullseye...anyway..in the last couple of years..Targets has been promoting some heavy hitter designers for their store..such as Liz Lange...Isaac Mizrahi and now Alexander McQueen..I think this is a fabulous idea...You see most of us never even come close to wearing an original from these designers so for them to come out with a line of clothes for the everyday Fashionista well thats fantastic..of course this is only my opinion..but my hat is off to the person who came up with this idea..This is really taken fashion to the streets...I personally have checked out the new line of Alexander McQueen clothes at Targets and I think its fabulous..I found this cute shirt dress for $39.99..Can you believe that? They have so many different items..its crazee..So if you get a chance check it out..

Good morning Petites..and welcome to trendy Tuesday...Today I would like to talk about something so cute and very dear to my heart..Pets..yes thats right..you read correctly..everywhere you go you see fashionista walking around with a pet attached to them like an accessory..I am sure you have seen this right?..I think its so cute..and for the last year I have been begging my love at home to buy me one..I love dogs..and I want so badly to have a little girl dog so I can dress up and take out with me...I call them cupcake dogs..LOL..You see I am in a house filled with males..my husband..three boys and a gigantic male boxer..Way to much male for me..I need to level the playground here..

I think there is a trend being set here..because like I said all the stars are always captured in pictures holding there beloved pets..and I personally think its adorable..however..pets are alot of work..its like having another baby..So before jumping into something like this please think careful about it..Its definitely a commit it..There are plenty of breeders around to get a dog of your choice and of course the dog pound is another great place to find a dog..Like most trends..your gonna pay for a full breed dog..People are cashing in on this latest craze right now...so be careful and never buy a puppy from the pet store..The pet stores are supporting puppy mills..and we dont want that..( i got in there a little statement)..But anyway..it all depends on what you like of course..Being a fashionista we make those choices according to our personality..and thats what make us Fashionista's...

So for now..I will keep working on my love to buy me a dog..( you see I have a little problem with the word NO)..and hopefully he will give in..xoxo

Hello my petites..I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend..It came and went very fast..Right?..Todays topic is for our young petites...Its a shame to me in todays society that soo very many of are young petites are dressing in all the wrong ways..Why is this?..Did we do this when we were younger?..I know there is the big matter of wanting to be grown up and also that little matter of boys!!But its a little out of control..I see young petites ( I talkin 16 and younger) all the time who look look like clowns in there get ups..I use this term get up because that is what it is..there is no fashion here just pure and simple get up..Its really a shame to me..because these poor girls have no idea the difference..And God for bid a parent calls them on it..they go into hysterics..Right..Between the pressure of TV, movies and of course friends..these girls are forced to believe this is the right way..But of course its not..The young girls do not know the word style..which is very important..but this is never brought up in anything they see or hear..So here are two rules to follow my young ones..1. dont grow up to fast..its not that great being an adult..enjoy your youth..dress your age..there are soo many cool things out there for you to look ultra cool in without looking like you have a get up on..I wish I could wear some of the clothes today for the young petites..but thats a whole other topic..2..If your trying to impress a boy..dont try so hard..dont try to go all sexy or whatever it is you have in mind..dress cute..You see you want to attract the boy who thinks your cute..there the ones that are worth it..ya need to stay clear of the boys who use the word sexy..trust me on this one petites. Lastly..be happy your young..it only happens once and once its gone..its gone..And remember your are our future fashionista's..think before you put something on and follow the rules..you wont regret it..I promise you that.Fashion is all about syle my loves..without sytle you have nothing..Its a very important accessory..not to have...make us proud...xoxo

Hello my petites..its almost Friday...yeah...It feels soo good to get toward the end of the week..I love it!!...Well anyway..today is Talk Shop Thursday..Its were I pick a store and talk about it..lol..thats funny right..I would rather been in it shopping then talking about it..but for now this will do..Its like smelling the scent of the bakery before you enter it..Today I would like to talk about OLD NAVY..I like this store..it has almost everything you need to create or add to a wardrobe..There is plenty to chose from and most importantly its affordable..Right now with the economy being the way it is we need a store that you can shop and feel good about spending the money..( I dont have a problem with this..I always feel good about shopping.) But seriously..you need a break on your wallet..and if you feel this way..OLD NAVY might be the place for you..Every week this store has a item of the week sale...And its good..Not that this would be a selling point for us Fashionista's but they also sell mens and childrens clothes also..so if you need to you could do a one stop shopping..and they also sell items for your beloved pets..cute right?..And for you petites that dont have an OLD NAVY in your area..guess what you can shop on line...yeah..So check it out..it might not meet everyones taste and thats ok of course..but ya never now what ya might find..Happy Shopping Petites...xoxo

As I told my petites in my post I will be doing a post called we ask...And my very first post will be about a fellow Fashionista..Shelly..Shelly is a Fashionista we all should look up too..Because she has it going on..She is not only a Fashionista..but a wife and a mom of three children.. But wait theres more..Shelly maintains a fashion blog..sells very fashionable clothes in her Ebay Store and teaches fitness classes..Yes you read right..she does all this and looks fabulous doing it..I asked Shelly if she has any hurdles she must jump through and she told me there was a couple..One being the fact that she lives in a small town..so trying to keep up with the ever changing trends are hard due to the fact there is a limited number of clothes stores in her area..( Big Bummer )..and the other hurdle and probably the biggest is trying to take care of her family and still being herself.. ( This is very hard )..But she does it..Shelly loves to dress nice just because..It makes her feel good and its her treat to herself for the day..This my petites is the definition of a Fashionista..And my hat is off to you Shelly..Keep up the good work..You make us all proud..

Hello petites..Im back...I hope you like the new site..I worked hard this past week..anyway..back to business..This topic is a very serious one if anything...How many of us obsess over our weight? I know the number has got to be high..Is this right?..I dont really know the answer..One can only assume that the reason we are a weight conscious society is because of magazine covers and what we see on tv..I am not gonna name names but we all know there are model,actresses,etc. that to me are way to thin..And the woman who are at a healthy weight are looked down upon..That is so not right..a bad trend is being set here to all of us and to the even younger petites that you can never be to thin...I am totally against this..I remember a couple of years ago the Fashion Shows made big news for their barely there models..and they came back the following year saying they were taking a different approach with there models weights and I remember thinking good for them..but really have things changed?...So my petites this is one trend you dont want to follow..its a trend that is not healthy for your spirit...Be happy...work out...eat healthy..and thats it..be happy with what you are...and remember its not the size of the jeans...its the fit...love to all..xoxo

Good morning petites..I apologize for no post yesterday..I am right in the middle of quite a few things..I will explain later..Anyway..onto the Polka Dot craze...I was recently doing a little light reading in Glamour magazine..when I came across this spread of polka dots being hot this season...I thought it was so cute..It reminded me of when I was a little girl and used to go to the boardwalk..There is something very warm and fuzzy about this trend..Sort of a reminscence of days gone..It definately has a spring/summer feel to it..Dont you think?..I want to just go out and get cotton candy..and walk along a seashore..lol..The fashion gods also expressed interest in sorbet colors and gingham..again brought me right back to the past..its amazing to me how soemthing like a fabric style can do this...anyway..I dont know for sure if I will venture into this trend..but then again one never knows..If I like it enough I might just give a try...

OK...today i would like to start something new its called Talk Shop Thursday...It doesnt really have anything to do with shopping..( I know boo hoo)..anyway..its when I discuss being a fashionista with other Fashionista's..and then I post about it...cool right..Dont worry it will be fun..I think its interesting to see how we all deal with being fashionista and living life...( hopefully happy)..

Ok so today I am going to talk about Erin..she is my best friend...and another fashionista..when we were in school Erin came up with the 7 day rule..What is this? Well it goes something like this...you can not wear the same outfit for at least 7 days..Funny right..but a classic rule that still is followed today...Of course now most of can go at least a month without repeating an outfit..lol...Its funny the things we worry about..anyway..Erin came up with idea way back..I am so not going to indulge on how many years ago...but I will say it was a long time ago..lol..and that is where the fashionista in us was born...I personally remember asking my mom for 7 pairs of shorts..etc..And I remember my mom saying..why in the world do you need that many shorts..and then I would tell her the 7 day rule..I think she thought I was out of my mind..especially since I was not paying for my clothes at this point..But she gave in to this request..and truth be told today my mom must have 30 pairs of everything..seriously...so it was a fab idea...What do you think?..

Good morning petites..its Wednesday...the middle of the week...the weekend is almost here right?..Big topic today..Retail Therapy!!!...Every fashionista can relate to this right?..My question is this..Does it really work?...I would have to say yes...When your blue and down and out..whats the first thing to perk you up?..Thinking about buying something new to add to your fab wardrobe!!!...yeah baby..Just yesterday..I was sitting her at my desk feeling like I had no energy..my brain was mush and I thought to myself what would make me happy..Without even a second with that thought..out popped my answer..Shopping!!...amazing how the brain of a fashionista works..just the thought of going out shopping...made be glee with joy...I guess it works..I know some would beg to differ about this notion..and I respect that..but for me its happiness...

I recently came across a book ( I do read alot)...it was called Life Lessons While Shopping..by Amanda Ford..It was the funniest book..and very true...one of things in the book that I liked was she has a self diagnosis page with regards to when you need retail therapy and when its time to see a real doctor..very funny...The book was very light hearted and fun to read..Check it out petites..

Anyway, in ending this..I would just like to say this...happiness counts in life big time..so if you do need a little happiness..by all means indulge in your pleasure..and like I always say..If im happy..everyones happy...Ta Ta for now my petites

OK FASHIONISTA, THIS IS A TOPIC THAT IS VERY SERIOUS TO ME..HERE'S THE SCENERIO OK...IM WEARING NICE JEANS..AND NICE SHIRT AND MAYBE BOOTS WITH HEELS, MAKEUP AND HAIR IS DONE...YA FOLLOWING..I GO TO PICK MY KIDS UP AT SCHOOL AND IT NEVER FAILS BUT SOMEOME SAYS TO ME.."WHY ARE YOU SO DRESSED UP?" AND IM LIKE NO IM NOT..THERE RESPONSE TO ME IS " I DONT HAVE THE TIME FOR THAT". NOW I TAKE THIS AS A INSULT TO ME..AM I RIGHT...HOWEVER THE PERSON USUALLY DOING THE INSULT IS WEARING SWEATS AND WHAT LOOKS TO BE LIKE THEIR HUSBANDS SHIRT...ARE YA KIDDING..FIRST OF ALL, I DO WEAR SWEATS AND TSHIRTS TO CLEAN MY HOUSE..WHO DOES'NT...BUT I THINK I WOULD KILL MYSELF OF I WORE THEM EVERYDAY..I TAKE PRIDE IN THE WAY I LOOK AND I THINK THATS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE..AND GUESS WHAT..I STILL GET DONE WHAT I NEED TO GET DONE..I PONDER THE THOUGHT THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE JEALOUS OR JUST PLAIN LAZY..HOW HARD IS IT TO PUT ON SOMETHING NICE...I REALIZE THAT EVERYONES WORLD DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND FASHION, BUT COME ON..GET REAL..AND LASTLY DO THESE PEOPLE REALLY EVEN KNOW WHAT DRESSED UP IS..

SO FOR ALL YOU FASHIONISTA'S OUT THERE WHO HAVE EVER HAD THIS HAPPEN TO YOU...DONT LET IT GET TO YOU...BECAUSE YOU ARE WHO YOU ARE, AND YOU ARE FABULOUS !!

DID YOU EVER SEE A WOMAN ON THE STREETS AND SAY TO YOURSELF " OH MY GOD SHE SHOULD NOT BE WEARING THAT OUTFIT" ITS PRETTY MUCH A GIVEN THAT YOU DID..AND YOU ALSO SAY TO YOURSELF " KILL ME IF I EVER GET LIKE THAT " LOL !!! WELL NOW HERES THE QUESTION FASHIONISTA'S.. SHOULD YOU DRESS YOUR AGE ? I DO NOT THINK ITS FAIR TO SAY THAT WOMAN OF A CERTAIN AGE SHOULD NOT DRESS TRENDY..THATS NOT FAIR..HOWEVER, I DO THINK YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT YOUR BODY CAN HANDLE AND WHAT IT CANNOT..THERE ARE PLENTY OF STORES OUT THERE THAT CARRY TRENDY OUTFITS FOR EVERYONE, NO MATTER WHAT AGE YOU ARE...BUT LETS BE HONEST FOR A MINUTE..A 40 YEAR OLD REALLY NEEDS TO BE CAREFUL TRYING TO WEAR SOMEHTHING A 20 YEAR WOULD WEAR..NOW I AM NOT SAYING SHE SHOULD NOT TRY..BUT I THINK YOU NEED TO CLASS IT UP A BIT..AND THE SAME GOES FOR A 16 YEAR OLD TRYING TO DRESS OLDER..SOMETIMES IT JUST DOES NOT WORK..WE SEE PICTURES ALL THE TIME OF WOMAN WHO ARE OLDER AND THEY LOOK FABULOUS..WHY IS THAT...BECAUSE THEY HAVE GOT CLASS..BIG DIFFERENCE...SO MY ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION IS NO !!! JUST BECAUSE YOUR A CERTAIN AGE DOES NOT BEEN YOU SHOULD PACK IT UP...BUT YOU NEED TO PUT MORE THOUGHT INTO THE OUTFIT..SO MY FASHIONISTA'S WHAT DO YOU THINK ???
